Firefighter/Paramedic - Gladstone, Missouri

The Gladstone Fire Department is looking for energetic, high-quality applicants for the position of Firefighter / Paramedic.  Firefighter I and II training will be provided to those applicants who do not currently possess that certification.  National Registry or Missouri Paramedic licensure is required; however, applicants currently enrolled in an accredited Paramedic program and within six (6) months of completion will be considered. 

Gladstone is a suburban community located in the northern metropolitan region of Kansas City, Missouri.  Gladstone encompasses nine (9) square miles and has a population of 28,000 residents.  The Gladstone Fire Department answers approximately 4,500 emergency calls annually and is comprised of two (2) stations; crews work a traditional 24/48 schedule.  The Fire Department responds to 911 calls for service but does not provide scheduled, non-emergency transfers or interfacility transport services.  

The City of Gladstone offers a competitive compensation package, including a non-contributory L-6 MO Lagers pension plan, Health/Dental/Vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, and a lateral entry pay structure.  In addition, the City provides paid time off through the accrual of sick, vacation, holiday and compension time.
