Missouri Emergency Medical Services Association
The Instructor Coordinator Educator (ICE) Society is a sub-committee of MEMSA, formed to promote the educational efforts of pre-hospital agencies in Missouri. Within this sub-committee, instructors, coordinators and educators can network and exchange ideas.
The ICE Society’s mission is to strive for the highest pre-hospital education standards by assisting EMS educators in the state of Missouri. Our vision is to provide quality education and resources to EMS educators.
As an instructor, coordinator, and examiner in the State of Missouri, you are automatically a member of the ICE Society and welcome to the meetings. There are two meetings each year, one at the ICE Spring Break in April and the EMS Conference in August. At the April meeting, the award for the Most Dedicated Instructor is presented along with the election of officers. We look forward to seeing you at the next meeting.
Criteria: Presented to an outstanding instructor who provides prehospital education in a program that is accredited by the Missouri Bureau of EMS.
Eligibility: Open to those individuals who meet instructor/coordinator qualifications of an accredited training entity.
Nominated by: Anyone
Winner selected by: The MEMSA awards chairperson will serve as chair of the Most Dedicated Instructor of the Year awards committee. Other committee members will be the ICE Society Chair or Vice Chair, one BEMS representative and two other qualified persons selected by the chairperson.
Award Given: Plaque or Dedicated Memento
When Awarded: Yearly at the ICE Spring Break Update Conference
