Our Presidential Award for Lifetime Achievement doesn’t get utilized every year.  And our awardee was originally nominated for the paramedic of the year award.  However, the committee felt that this wasn’t enough.

Therefore, this year, we are humbled and proud to recognize an EMS Clinician nearing 50 years of service in our state.

Beginning in 1974 in Gasconade County and still full-time as a paramedic to this day.

He has been described as a walking encyclopedia of medical knowledge, kind and dedicated.

For these reasons and many more, we are proud to thank and honor Bruce Grotewiel with Maries-Osage Ambulance District as our 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award.
